Hutch Kids is the NAEYC accredited, employer sponsored child care center for employees of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. The center was organized as a separate 501(c)(3) program with a Board of Directors composed of parents. As parents enroll in the child care center, they become members of the corporation, which allows them to participate in the decision making of the child care center.

Quality on-site child care and support for Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center employee families.

Our Philosophy

Hutch Kids focuses on the individuality and uniqueness of every child. Our activities encourage self-confidence, spontaneity, curiosity and self-discipline, which help develop a child's social and emotional health. To enhance mental processes and skills, we plan activities that foster conceptual and verbal skills. We establish patterns and expectations to create a climate of confidence for a child's present and future efforts, and to provide a sense of dignity and self-worth for each child and his/her family.

Hutch Kids Child Care aspires to be a child-centered community of learners where children, their families and educators work in concert with one another. This partnership creates a trusting, nurturing and reciprocally supportive environment where joy, play and learning are celebrated.
