The Large-Scale Cell Processing Core Facility has been established to provide three primary functions:
(1) Process large quantities (up to 1011) of hematopoietic cells. The types of procedures include CD34+ cell enrichment, T-cell selection or depletion, and cryopreservation.
(2) Perform 2 and 3 color flow cytometric analyses, as well as in-vitro colony-forming assays, on the processed cells.
(3) A Repository of Cryopreserved Specimens consisting of large quantities of stored bone marrow or PBSC components obtained from normal donors and patients with a variety of malignancies.
