Equipment in the Immune Monitoring lab is open to all investigators. Operation training and on-site assistance are provided. Usage is based on first-come-first serve basis and no reservation is currently required.
ELISPOT reader
This equipment from Biosys is specially designed for reading ELISPOT plates. The reader an image-acquiring and analysis system equipped with a microscope that can scan 96-well plates mounted on a workstation. The accompanied software enables the recognition and quantitation of immunospots in each well. This system is very flexible. It can read different plates from various suppliers either automatically, or manually with many options for manipulation.
TopCount
TopCount is a scintilation and luminescence counter from PerkinElmer that reads 96-well plates. It is commonly used for the lymphoproliferation assay (3H-thymidine incorporation) and Chromium-51 release assay. It can also read luminescence for many reporter assay systems.
Cell Harvester
The 96-well cell harvester is commonly used for lymphoproliferation assay.
Quantitative real-time PCR
A compact QPCR system, the Mx3000p from Stratagene, is available for quantitative real-time PCR analysis. It can read most commercially available dyes such as FAM, HEX, ROD, CYBR, CY3, CY5 and more. The software program allows easy set-up, monitoring during amplifications and data analysis.
Microplate washer and reader
An automated microplate washer from Bio-Tek (Model ELx405) and a microplate reader from ThermoLabsystems (Model Multiskan EX) are available.
Luminometer
The microplate luminometer from Berthold, Model Centro LB960 has 3 injectors and is DLR ready.
