Faculty and Staff
Library AccessThe Arnold Library is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center faculty and staff, either via keycard or by contacting security at x6000. Library staff members are available for assistance Monday thru Friday from 8am to 5pm. Borrowing Privileges (PDF)
Many books in our collections may be checked out. Some items, such as reference materials may be used in the library. Journals, current or bound, do not circulate, as this is primarily a research collection and these volumes need to be available to researchers at all times. The collection is listed in our online catalog. The standard circulation period is four weeks and books may be renewed twice. We also reserve the right to recall an item in the event of an emergent need.
Visitors
Access and PrivilegesVisitors wishing to use the library should contact the library in advance to make arrangements, (206) 667-4314. The library is available to visitors Monday thru Friday from 8am-5pm. Library materials are not circulated to visitors however; there is a coin-operated copier in the library for visitor use. Copies are $.10 per page.
